Truth be told, I was going to write a full recap of the Marine Corps Half Marathon, But, then the race actually happened, and I figured it would just be easier to write about the lessons I learned so that I don't make the same mistakes in the future. Keep reading...it's a doozie.
I'm currently at my mom's trying to ride out Hurricane Matthew. We're outside of an evacuation zone, and I'm really crossing my fingers that everything turns out okay and everyone stays safe. While I'm here, I figured I'd post about parts of my New York trip!
45 days out from Rock n Roll Vegas, and I (knock on wood) seem to be getting into a groove running wise. I knock on wood there because each time I start ramping up my running...BOOM. Injury. But so far I've stayed on top of my hip/glute strengthening exercises, so let's see where we're at...a few days late for a regular training update post.
We're about 7 weeks away from the Rock n' Roll Vegas half (and my brother's wedding, but that's another story), and I wanted to give a training update. I feel like this is a good place to post these, and it will keep me honest about my workouts.
